Dave Fotsing did not ease into professional MMA. The Ciryl Gane training partner walked into Lions FC 12, avoided a wild capoeira-style attack from Luis Carlos Brito, and ended his debut in 47 seconds.
Fotsing stopped Brito on May 1, 2026, in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Sherdog lists the official result as a first-round TKO by head kick and punches at 0:47. That is not a slow introduction. That is a heavyweight kicking the door open and asking who parked too close to his truck.

Fotsing’s Size Is The Hook, But The Finish Was The Real Story
Fotsing first caught wider attention because of his training link to Gane and the MMA Factory team. Gane is listed at 6-foot-5, fights out of Paris, and is a former interim UFC heavyweight champion. He also built his rise under coach Fernand Lopez, so another huge heavyweight coming through that room is going to get noticed.
Fotsing is not just a big man with a scary still frame. Sherdog lists him at 265 pounds, and his record is now 1-0 as a pro. His amateur record also includes a 2021 armbar win, which makes the debut finish more interesting because he handled this one entirely on the feet.
Fotsing showed the important part clearly. He stayed upright through Brito’s opening attack, created space, landed the head kick, and finished with punches before the first minute was gone.
The win should still be measured properly. Brito entered with a losing record, and Fotsing has exactly one professional MMA fight. The next step is activity, cleaner opposition, and proof that the debut finish was not just a fast regional highlight.
Still, the debut gave Fotsing a clean start at 1-0 and a finish he can build on around Gane’s camp.
