Several Arrested Including MMA fighter Darren Till.
A group of tourists in Costa Adeje area of Tenerife, have been arrested for stealing a taxi and trashing a hotel room this past Thursday, but Darren Till, who is a former UFC welterweight challenger was among the five suspects according to Dailymail.
Now, it was reported that a taxi cab intended on transporting the few tourists involved to another location but when the driver got out to help load their luggage, the suspects drove off with the vehicle. But, they were stopped by police in La Caleta and apprehended on the spot.
This was apparently after Till and four other British tourists apparently vandalized a hotel destroying furniture and tampering with fire extinguishers before getting kicked out.
But this is bad news for the rising star as he’s been one of the standout fighters in the UFC, and although his future in the UFC organization may not be affected by this incident; it’s tough to say what’s next for Darren Till.
“The Gorilla” is coming off a knockout loss from the hands of Jorge Masvidal at UFC On ESPN+ 5 last month. Before this setback, Till suffered first loss of his career when then-champion Tyron Woodley submitted him at UFC 228 this past September. Despite back to back losses, Till is still a standout prospect in the welterweight division.
