Daniel Cormier Surpass Demetrious Johnson In Pound-For-Pound UFC Rankings

UFC rankings got some news changes following UFC 226 PPV event from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thanks to Daniel Cormier who scores the first-round knockout over Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 226, becomes the second fighter in promotion’s history to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously. That historic win increase Cormier’s stock in heavyweight UFC rankings, but also dominant flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson in the pound-for-pound list.

Interesting, featherweight champion Max Holloway also jump to no.3 in Pound-for-pound list, although he pulled out of his recent bout against Brian Ortega. Bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw also move up to no. 6 before his rematch with former champion Cody Garbrandt in P4P list.

Moreover, Derrick Lewis also jumps up in heavyweight rankings to No. 2 after his terrible decision win over former top contender Francis Ngannou, who dropped three spots to No. 4.

Moreover, Tony Ferguson also takes over Conor McGregor for the top spot at lightweight even though Ferguson currently nursing his injured knee, while Irishman’s future inside the Octagon is still hazy, as he’s awaiting his court date next.

Middleweight saw rising contender Israel Adesanya moves to No. 9 who just won TUF finale after outclassing Brad Tavares in the main headliner.
