Daniel Cormier On ‘Entitled’ Stipe Miocic: ‘I Don’t Feel I Have To Be Nice To Him Anymore’

Since former UFC champion and WWE star, Brock Lesnar is off the scene due to promotion’s new deal with ESPN+, now current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will re-run with Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 in August.

Miocic is the most decorated UFC Heavyweight kingpin of all time. He defended the title record three times before fighting against Daniel Cormier who knocked him out cold at UFC 226. Moments into his loss Stipe Miocic has to deal with a disrespectful shit show with Lesnar stormed the cage shoving off Cormier to promote the future fight.

Since then Miocic leaves no stone unturned to get the rematch.

Former champion also tried hard to get a rematch with Cormier at UFC 230 however he got bumped for Derrick Lewis.

Daniel Cormier goes off when discussing Miocic. In fact ‘DC’ said just holding out for a rematch, Stipe was behaving entitled.

“I did not like the approach he took,” Cormier told Ariel Helwani (h/t MMAMania). “I just think he’s so good, even if he’d fought over the course of the year, he still would be in this same position. So I don’t feel I have to be nice to him anymore. The whole time I said he was a bit entitled. These are conversations we had with the company. He was just as happy as I was. So to make it seem like I was doing something wrong after I was the one who won the fight, I just felt like it was unfair. I’m not wronging this guy. I’m doing exactly what we were told to do after our first fight.”

Cormier didn’t mince words and give back his choice of words to critics who believe ‘DC’ was ducking a rematch with Miocic. He even disclosed that back issues kept him fighting from Stipe.

“You guys are so stupid,” Cormier said. “I couldn’t physically do it.”

To prove his haters wrong, Cormier has to stop Miocic again. After a rematch, Daniel Cormier wants to settle a long rivalry with his old nemesis Jon Jones.
