Dana White is already setting big expectations for the UFC’s planned event at the White House. The UFC CEO says the company is close to starting real work on the fight card, with matchups expected to come together very soon.
Since President Donald Trump announced the idea, fans and fighters have been talking about what the show could look like. Many fighters have said they want to be part of it. Even with the lineup still taking shape, White believes the event will draw huge attention for the UFC and its broadcast partner.
“We’re going to figure that all out this week. This is like a one of one event,” White said on CBS Sports. “It’s something that will never happen again. Building this card we had this video rendering of what it looks like. We literally have the trees that are on the South Lawn. We’ll know exactly where the sun is until it sets. So all the logistics are done. We believe that this is going to be the most watched UFC event ever.”
Why White thinks it will reach new fans
White does not think this show will only be for longtime UFC followers. He believes the setting alone will bring in people who normally do not watch fights.
“It’s going to introduce a lot of people to it that have never seen it before,” White said. “And when you talk about me, my executive team, the staff that works here, the media that covers us, and the fighters, this is going to be the most unique, amazing night of our entire careers. The fighters are walking from the Oval Office. I bet a lot of the people that cover the sport and are fans of the sport probably have never been to the White House before. And obviously the fighters.
“So, this is a really special, one of one night. And you know, when we go to do something, I like to deliver, and I like to deliver big. So, it’s going to be special.”

The White House card is expected to take place on June 14. The show is likely to air on Paramount Plus and could also be shown on CBS at the same time.
Matchups are still being discussed, but White’s message is clear. He sees this as a once in a lifetime UFC event and believes the attention around it will be bigger than anything the company has done before.
