- Dana White talked about how big it would be for Tom Aspinall if he beat Jon Jones
- The UFC boss mentioned who among the current UFC fighters are the most dangerous
UFC president Dana White believes Tom Aspinall will built a unique legacy if he ever beats Jon Jones. The UFC boss also named some of the most dangerous UFC righters of this era.
Tom is on the right path
Speaking to Piers Morgan, White shared his honest thoughts on Aspinall’s future in the UFC. According to the UFC chief, Aspinall has an opportunity to take his career to incredible heights if he could prove that he has what it takes to take “Bones” out like how he has been boasting about it.
“The problem in this business is you have guys who say a lot of things publicly but behind the curtains, don’t mean it, you know, don’t really want these fights. Tom Aspinall is not that guy,” White said. “Tom Aspinall wants to fight all the best in the world, and I love that.”
“[Aspinall has been] Very good. We’re gonna find out, though. With the Jon Jones fight, a fight like that for a young, talented heavyweight, if he can win, if he can beat Jon Jones, it’s life-changing,” he added.
However, White disagreed with Aspinall’s belief that Jones couldn’t be the GOAT because of his issues with illegal drugs in the past.
“That, I disagree with 100%. What you deserve and what you go out and get are two totally different things. When you think about Jon Jones and how good he really is, then you think about the lifestyle that he was living outside the Octagon, it actually makes it more impressive,” White explained.

The UFC houses a lot of dangerous fighters
White was then asked to single out who are the most dangerous fighters in the current UFC roster. For the UFC boss, Jones is still at the top of that category. However, guys like Islam Makhachev, Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway also ticked the boxes.
“Jon Jones is the best ever, the best of all the time, but we have tons of guys that are [dangerous],” White declared. “Islam [Makhachev], who is now the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world. “Max Holloway is still one of the nastiest guys on the planet.”

Jones had insisted that he is at peace with his career after stopping Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. However, an insane amount of money could make him consider facing Aspinall.
Rumors swirled that “Bones” is asking for a staggering $30 million purse to take on Aspinall. It didn’t take long before White dismissed the said figures, calling it “b***sh*t.” Nevertheless, White seems to be still interested in making the Jones vs. Aspinall fight happen.
