Dana White says ‘he would be stupid’ if he didn’t make Sonnen vs. Silva II

You may be getting ready for Sunday Night Football tonight, but let’s forget the performance we witnessed at UFC 136. Seriously, whatever tasks you engage in today, you must not forget the level of gangsterism that Chael Sonnen displayed in his fight against Brian Stann, a very tough Brian Stann. In his last three fights prior to UFC 136, Stann finished everyone and even grabbed ‘Fight of the Night’ honors in two of the bouts. Sonnen nullified Stann’s gameplan and one could easily assume that Chael is next in line for a shot against Silva. At least, that’s what Chael wants us to believe.

Sergio Non of USA Today conducted an interview with Dana White and it appears that White is fully aware of the pressure exerted from the entire MMA world to put together a rematch of Sonnen vs. Silva.

What was going through your mind when Chael Sonnen went on a spiel (about Anderson Silva)?

“That’s very Chael. Those guys really don’t like each other. Anderson, I don’t know if any of you saw his face when (Chael) won, but he wasn’t doing the whole joking around thing. He (Silva) was (ticked) and he’s really upset about the whole smacking his wife on the butt thing and cook him dinner. He’s really upset about it. He’s really (ticked) about it.”

So you’re making that fight then?

“Probably, yeah. More than likely. I don’t like to commit to anything the night of the fight, you know what I mean? But yeah, I’d be pretty (freaking) stupid if I don’t make that fight.”

Today I found out that in 2011, West Linn, Oregon was on CNN’s list of The 100 Best Places to Live in America. By definition does that mean Chael Sonnen is one of the best gangsters in America? Chael seems to think so. [Source]
