- Dana White defended Donald Trump by blasting Batista for mocking the POTUS
- The UFC boss vows to never retire
UFC president Dana White hit out at Batista for making fun of Donald Trump and insisted that he hopes to run the promotion for the rest of his life.
Dana defends the POTUS
Speaking with Piers Morgan, the UFC boss raved about how tough Trump is. White described the POTUS as the true definition of a fighter before lashing out at those who criticize the president.
White specifically mentioned Batista in his rant in response to the WWE legend’s skit in which he brutally trolled Trump.
“Everybody wants to talk smack… Batista, the old wrestler, did this skit on Trump being weak and all this stuff, that I thought was disgusting and gross,” the UFC chief exclaimed. “Let me tell you what, Batista and anybody else out there, the way that Trump reacted to that assassination attempt, every man hopes that’s the way you would react… That’s one of the most solid… You wanna talk about who you want to be the president of a country is the way that Trump reacted to that assassination attempt.”
“The things is with President Trump is, he believes in God and he’s very religious,” he added. “He believes that to his core, that God has spared his life to be the President and do the things that he’s gonna do over the next four years. Me and [Joe] Rogan have talked about this. Me and Rogan, I guess you would say, are not spiritual. If you had to put me on a platform to debate that there wasn’t some type of divine intervention, I’d literally have no ammo to debate that. It’s pretty crazy, it gives me the goosebumps.”
The UFC boss is here to stay
White has been running the UFC since 2001. He has witnessed several changes in the management side of the promotion over the years.
However, the UFC boss declared that he will never leave and be replaced. White vowed to run the company as long as he lives. For White, he hates Top Rank boss Bob Arum but he admittedly respects his longevity and probably follow his blueprint.
“I will never retire. Ever,” White. “I will keep dogging this out until the day I drop dead. I love it, 100 percent. Hopefully [until 80 years old]… Bob Arum? I hate him, he’s an a**hole, but Bob Arum, the boxing promoter, he’s 94 years old.”

“I hate him. This guy’s the biggest douchebag of all time but I’m at the Aces WNBA game, Bob Arum is 94 years old, 94,” he continued. It’s 9 o’clock at night and he’s sitting over there courtside. I’m like holy sh*t Bob Arum is here, this is crazy, this guy’s 94 years old. He’s sitting over there, it’s 8:30, I sh*t you not, two days later I’m watching a fight, Bob Arum is in Saudi Arabia ringside at a boxing event. Two days later, he’s in London at a press conference. He’s 94 years old. I hate him but you got to respect it right? How can you not respect that?”
“Everybody changes when you make a lot of money,” White added. “No matter what walk of life you’re in, once you get to a certain level of success, you have to be a certain type of person to stay hungry and get out and fight every day. When we sold in 2016, 99 percent of the people said that I was going to retire and walk away. I’m not wired like that.
“I’m still out building new brands and doing shit that I don’t need to be doing. But I do it because I love it. You know how many people in a sale like mine in 2016, you never see that guy again? They’re done.”
White has been a close friend of Trump. In fact, he even delivered a compelling speech after Trump was re-elected as U.S. president.
