- Dana White discussed Alex Pereira’s UFC 307 win and shared a photo of Khalil Rountree’s post-fight face injury
- The UFC boss was livid about the UFC 307 co-main event judging
UFC president Dana White shared his honest thoughts on Alex Pereira’s stunning win, how the judging was in the UFC 307 co-main event, and revealed how bad Khalil Rountree’s face cuts were after the fight.
Khalil was battered
Rountree and Pereira did not fail to live up to the hype as the pair went toe-to-toe for almost 20 minutes inside the cage. In the end, it’s “Poatan” who prevailed after battering “The War Horse” en route to a TKO victory.
Rountree had to be stitched, having incurred some serious cuts on his face. Shortly after the fight, the UFC boss unveiled how gruesome the title challenger’s post-fight injury was. Check it out below:

During White’s UFC 307 post-fight presser, one reporter noticed some blood on his knuckles and assumed the UFC president has been training lately. However, White quickly revealed that it wasn’t from training but it was Rountree’s blood which apparently dripped on his hand.
“No that’s from Khalil… that’s definitely not from me,” White said.

Alex was unbelievable
White was also unsurprisingly in awe of Pereira’s performance against Rountree. For the UFC boss, “Poatan” is almost unreal from the way he finishes his opponents to how consistent he has been.
“There’s no doubt. What this guy [Pereira] has done is unbelievable, not just in if you wanna compare and the way that he’s done it. I mean, this guy destroys everybody,” White said of Pereira.

White blasts the co-main event judging
Meanwhile, the co-main event did not prompt the same comments from White. Julianna Pena manage to reclaim her bantamweight title after securing what appeared to be a controversial split decision win over Raquel Pennington. As expected, White hit out at the judges.
“I thought the judging tonight was atrocious,” White told the media of Pennington vs. Pena. “I felt like I was at a boxing match in Ireland tonight.”

Pereira’s win saw him defending his light heavyweight title for the third consecutive time. If everything goes according to his plan, “Poatan” will move up to heavyweight and make history.
As for Pena, White and the fans may not like how the fight was judged but technically, “The Venezuelan Vixen” still won and is now the women’s bantamweight champion again. Pena has got her eyes locked on Amanda Nunes to finally settle the score in their unfinished business.
