- Dana White is not mad about Merab Dvalishvili cutting stitches off his wound by himself
- The UFC boss has let “The Machine” do whatever he wants
UFC president Dana White is no longer livid about Merab Dvalishvili publicizing his injury as he senses that the bantamweight contender is just playing games with him.
Merab wants to play
Speaking to the media after a Dana White’s Contender Series event, the UFC boss was asked to comment again on Dvalishvili. For context, White already lashed out at Dvalishvili for showing off a cut above his eye on social media, which the UFC president deemed as unnecessary, considering “The Machine” has an upcoming title fight with Sean O’Malley at UFC 306.
Now, Dvalishvili did it again but this time, he posted a video of him cutting the stitches off his wound using a pair of regular scissors.

According to White, he is beginning to think that Dvalishvili is trying to play with him and he finds it quite amusing than irritating.
“Isn’t he awesome? I think he’s just f**king with me now, to be honest with you,” White told reporters.

Dana lets Merab play
When asked if he ever spoke to Dvalishvili about it, White said no and he evidently doesn’t plan to. For the UFC boss, “The Machine” could do whatever he wants now.
“Do what you want,” White said of Merab. “You ever see the scissors they take stitches out with? They’re tiny and they have that thing on there so you don’t cut yourself. You can slide them up under the stitches, you don’t cut yourself. This guy had f**king bush shears that he was using, that you trim your f**king bushes with, that gardener’s use. Whatever. Good for him.”
Dvalishvili is scheduled to face O’Malley on Sept. 14 at The Sphere. It’s the first time “The Machine” will compete for the belt, having earned the title shot after an impressive 10-fight winning streak.
