Dana White is still shutting the door on one of MMA’s loudest recent rumors: Jon Jones was never going to fight on UFC’s June 14 White House card.
After UFC Fight Night 270 in London, White directly challenged Jones’ public version of events. Jones recently said he had a $15 million offer to return but wanted more. White says there was no real path to this fight happening in the first place.
White told reporters that:
“Jon Jones was never fighting on the White House card.”
He followed that up by saying:
“How many f*cking times do I have to say this? He was never fighting on the White House card. I literally have done two press conferences talking about this. These guys went out and found everything that was available and possible, and I picked the fights. There was no way in hell I was putting him on the card no matter what the money was. Jon Jones was never fighting on the White House card.”
Jones was being put on that event, no matter what money was discussed.
🚨 Dana White responds to Jon Jones claiming he was ready and willing to fight on the UFC White House card:

White and Jones Are Telling Two Different Stories
From the UFC side, the bigger point is that Freedom 250 appears built around active names already in motion, not around a comeback from a star who has fought sparingly in recent years. Jones has competed only twice in the last six years, including his heavyweight title win over Ciryl Gane and his later defense against Stipe Miocic.
The announced White House lineup includes two title fights at the top: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane. Other scheduled matchups include Sean O’Malley vs. Aiemann Zahabi, Michael Chandler vs. Mauricio Ruffy, Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus, and Steve Garcia vs. Diego Lopes.
Unless this changes dramatically, White’s stance is straightforward: Jones was not priced out of this card, he says Jones was never selected for it.
