UFC president Dana White lashed out at people thinking Jon Jones is ducking Tom Aspinall as well as Merab Dvalishvili for publicizing a minor cut ahead of his title fight with Sean O’Malley.
Jon wants the smoke with Tom
Speaking to the media in a post-fight presser of a Dana White’s Contender Series event, the UFC boss made it clear to everybody that the narrative suggesting “Bones” doesn’t want to fight Aspinall isn’t true. According to White, people can refute his belief that Jones is the MMA GOAT but one thing he is sure of is that the heavyweight champ is all-in on facing “Honey Badger.”
“Jon is one of those challenging guys to deal with. He’s thinking about retiring but will he?” White said. “If the Aspinall thing is really flying out there, I personally think Jon challenges himself and takes the fight. I think he does it.”

“I know the whole internet, ‘Oh Jon Jones!’ that I’m up Jon Jones’s ass, these are f**king facts. Facts. And since everybody has been such douchebags about this, I’m coming out with a nice little punch in the face for all you f**kers that think Jon Jones isn’t the greatest of all-time,” he exclaimed. “Dislike him, whatever your beef is with Jon Jones, knock yourself out. There’s no way in hell that Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight Aspinall. That I guarantee you.”

Merab is next-level stupid
Dvalishvili also got a taste of White’s wrath for posting a small cut on his eye on social media. The UFC president was furious over the fact that “The Machine” knew well that he has an upcoming title fight with O’Malley but for some reason, he felt the need to show everybody his cut.

“The whole world knows about Merab’s cut, he posted it, our guys are so dumb it’s next level unbelievable,” White ranted. “All the stuff that I talk about boxing what I will give boxing is when something happens in a camp, let me tell you what, it does not leak. Our guys’ camp f**king wait to throw it up on social media. It’s a small cut, it’s not a big deal but obviously needed to be posted.”
“Why the f**k would you want [O’Malley] to know that?!” he added. “It is next-level stupid, some of these guys are so stupid it’s mind-boggling, it’s unbelievable.”

As it stands, Jones will still be taking on Stipe Miocic in his UFC return but there’s still no specific date and venue yet. Dvalishvili, meanwhile, is set to challenge O’Malley in a bantamweight title fight at UFC 306.
