Dana White Is Not Interested In “Eagle” Vs “Money” Boxing Match, Calls Floyd Mayweather To Test His Luck Inside The Octagon
Khabib Nurmagomedov has recently challenged Floyd Mayweather Jr for a boxing match. Of course, “Money” accepted the match, asking for a monstrous payday. Michael Bisping believes the undefeated Dagestani will be knocked out. Daniel Cormier said Mayweather is going to smash Khabib.
But it looks like Dana White, the president of the UFC, isn’t interested in Khabib Vs Mayweather match! He has a clear message for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Actually, he invites an undefeated boxer to test his luck in the UFC! (via bloodyelbow.com)
“If Mayweather wants to fight, come fight. Come fight in the UFC. We’re not boxing again. We did that once, that’s over. You want to fight, come fight.”
“You want to fight, come fight,” he repeated. “A real fight.”
Let’s remember, Floyd Mayweather Jr has already fought Conor McGregor on August 26th, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Money” defeated “The Notorious” via TKO in the tenth round.
Dana White also reminded that both Khabib and Conor have to wait for NSAC decision due to UFC 229 post-fight incident. The first man of the UFC believes everything should be cleared in December.
“He and Conor both have to go before the Nevada Athletic Commission,” he said. “I think that’s scheduled for December. We’ll see what happens.”
Yet, Dana White plans to get into boxing in the future. But it is unknown when.
“We’re getting into boxing 100%, for sure. I’m not diving in head first, I’m dipping my toe in.”
White claims that the next rival for Khabib Nurmagomedov should be dangerous Tony Ferguson. “El Cucuy” is currently No.1 UFC Lightweight contender. He didn’t lose the fight since UFC On Fox 3 on May 5, 2012. Ferguson has an amazing UFC score of fifteen wins and only one loss.
Would you like to see Floyd Mayweather inside the Octagon? Do you think Dana White will eventually let “The Eagle” and “Money” to test their skills in a boxing ring?
