Dana White Praises Donald Cerrone And ‘Bad A**’ Al Iaquinta For Amazing Fight

Dana White Is Singing Praises For Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone & Al Iaquinta For Putting On An Amazing Showdown

Last night (Sat., May 4, 2019) UFC On ESPN+ 9 MMA event went down from inside the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  It didn’t deliver fireworks, but the main headliner bout between Donald Cerrone and Al Iaquinta received high praises not only from fight fans but company head honcho Dana White also has the same opinion on this epic fight.

White took to social media and praised both Al and Cerrone after acknowledging the greatness of the fight.

“Congrats to @cowboycerrone on the impressive win last night and MUCH respect to the incredibly TOUGH and BAD ASS @aliaquinta for an amazing fight!!!!”

‘Cowboy’ outworked tough Al Iaquinta after five hard-fought rounds to pick up a unanimous decision win. Both fighters took home ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses. After an impressive victory, Cerrone has chances to shoot up in lightweight rankings.

He also sets new records as Donald Cerrone clinched a spot for most knockdowns in the history of UFC which is (20). Cerrone has 23 victories in the UFC competition which is most in company history. He’s 17 fight night bonuses, 16 finishes which are most in the company history. Cerrone is at a second number for most UFC fights overall (31).

Following his win, Cerrone calls out Conor Mcgregor for a 4th of July showdown despite ‘Cowboy’ said last week he is no longer chasing a money fight against Mcgregor, but his main goal is to get a title shot.

Should this fight happen, it’ll take UFC a lot of efforts to bring Conor Mcgregor back to the Octagon as his Proper Twelve Whiskey is netting millions.
