It’s now been almost a year since Rousey’s last fight: an unexpected and crushing loss to reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes via TKO punches in the first round at UFC 207 on December 30, 2016. “She’s super happy,” White said. “She’s traveling; she’s hanging out, she’s doing her thing. Imagine never having a personal life and then you get one.”

But – after consecutive defeats to Holly Holm and reigning champ Amanda Nunes – Rousey’s legacy is in tatters, and Dana White wants her to retire now.

Once-dominant UFC women’s bantamweight queen Rousey excelling MMA star seems to be easing into a retirement from fighting career.

When asked about Rousey’s return to the octagon,

White said Tuesday at a media lunch: “I wouldn’t want to see it. I don’t want that to happen. I care about her. She’s got enough money. She’s got enough money and all that stuff. I don’t want to see it happen.

“It’s like with Chuck Liddell. I was hearing that Chuck was talking about fighting again. I hope that’s not true.”

Former women’s champion Rousey is still being tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) while she remains on the roster.

“She has not retired. USADA is still popping up at her house testing her, but she refuses to retire.”

White further explained, while a Rousey’s return is still possible, it’s not something he’s not interested in seeing. But I am not sure why she is not making it official.

“She’s not ready to say I quit,” White said. “She’s not ready to say I’m done, for whatever reason. She doesn’t tick like everybody else ticks. We found that out throughout the years. … She has this awesome personal life; she’s super happy and why put up with that aggravation anymore? Just announce it, and the USADA stuff stops.”

Rousey currently in talks with WWE about a pro-wrestling contract. Some recent social media posts made rounds that she is filming, “Mile 22.” movie.

White said, once the badass women on the planet, how she falls to the victim of two straight knockout losses.

“I always used to compare her to Tyson, and it’s totally like Tyson,” White said. “I agree. It’s like this aura of invincibility.”
