Dana White Doesn’t Think Georges St-Pierre Wants To Fight Again

Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre returned to UFC Octagon after four years of hiatus from sports and submitting Michael Bisping in the main event of UFC 217 last month to scores a middleweight championship.

His reign as a middleweight champ didn’t last long- vacated his title earlier this month, and he’s currently sidelined indefinitely due to ulcerative colitis.

UFC brass Dana White speaking to ESPN recently and said there is no update on St-Pierre’s status.

“I don’t know, man. I don’t think the guy wants to fight,” White said. “I think he jumped in, grabbed some cash and went back to Canada.”

“He ain’t fighting Conor McGregor,” White said. “If he wants to come back, [UFC welterweight champion] Tyron Woodley or [middleweight champion] Robert Whittaker is waiting for him. They’re both waiting, if Georges wants to come back.”

Recently, GSP’s longtime coach Firas Zahabi at Tristar MMA stated that St-Pierre is only looking for super fights, including one against UFC star Conor McGregor, which would likely threaten the company’s record for the pay-per-view (PPV) buys.

But White rules out that it wouldn’t happen. He straight-forwardly stated possibilities for St-Pierre if he returns to fight, it should be either Robert Whittaker or Tyron Woodley.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since he made his professional multi-million boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather back in August.

What do you think Georges St-Pierre will ever return to Octagon? If he does, who should he fight next?
