Dana White Praises Conor McGregor Mental Warfare Skills At UFC 229 Press Conference

Dana White: “It Was The Darkest Press Conference I’Ve Ever Seen, Conor McGregor Is Even Better Than Muhammad Ali”

UFC 229 press conference will definitively be a thing to remember. This was the first time two angry rivals, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, came face to face. They were answering all kinds of questions yesterday at Radio City Music Hall. It looks like The Notorious studied the situation properly. He was using every chance to slam and troll Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Dana White has only positive words for Conor McGregor. According to White, despite it was the darkest press conference he has ever seen, Conor’s mental warfare skills are the best in the world. Let’s remember, Dana White has already said Mystic Mac is his Tyson and Ali. Well, Dana mentioned Muhammad Ali again. (via MMAJunkie.com)

“It was dark, man,” White told reporters, including MMAjunkie, during a post-press conference scrum. “It was the darkest press conference I’ve ever been a part of. But Conor McGregor is the master of mental warfare. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: He’s better than anybody. Even (Muhammad) Ali. You don’t want to say anybody’s better than Ali, but I think when it comes to the mental war game in this sport, or any other sport, Conor McGregor is the best ever.”

Conor McGregor always has a perfect plan. Before the press conference, he had a great idea of “entry ticket”. Dana White also said Conor is a tactical man who prepares carefully and infiltrates into the opponent’s head. He also looked back at his challenging of Urijah Faber and Cody Garbrandt.

“Here’s the thing about McGregor, too: He’s so good at it – he studies,” White said. “He studies every little thing. He talks to people. He finds out stories inside of a guy’s camp. Look at the whole thing he did on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ with Urijah Faber, with T.J. Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt and all those guys. At one point he had Cody Garbrandt jumping up trying to fight him. He is the master. He is the best ever to do it. Nobody does it better than Conor does.”

Conor McGregor has demonstrated he can mentally defeat everybody throughout his career. Dana White also added that The Notorious’ provocations won’t affect you only if you are a robot without emotions.

“You’re not human if that doesn’t affect you,” White said. “It’s not possible for that not to affect you. Conor knows that. Conor came in, and Conor did what Conor does. That’s why I say it: He’s the best ever. There’s never been anybody better at the mental warfare game than Conor McGregor. He’s the absolute best of all-time.”

The UFC 229 press conference was closed for public. No fans were allowed to enter. Conor McGregor was very unhappy due to this fact. Yet, Dana White is more than sure he has made the right choice.

“I absolutely made the right decision on this one,” White said. “I felt it halfway through the press conference and I’m definitely feeling it now.”

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will collide at the main event of UFC 229. It is slated for October 6th inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Conor is mentally more successful, but do you think his showtime skills will be enough to win the match? If Khabib takes him down, he will be in a deep trouble! Barking dogs seldom bite.
