Dana White: Mcgregor “Would Love The Rematch With Khabib, But He’ll Fight Anybody.”

Dana White Says Former Two-Division Champion Conor Mcgregor Will Fight Anybody After UFC 229 Loss

Conor McGregor failed a bid to reclaim the 155-pound title when Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated him in the fourth round via submission at UFC 229 back in October.

Despite a heavy defeat, Mcgregor asked for an immediate rematch. However many in the MMA community weren’t convinced the fight warrants a follow-up.

Couple weeks after Mcgregor followed up with a lengthy Instagram post where he breakdown each round and said he’ll fight next in line if he doesn’t get a rematch.

Then earlier this month UFC head honcho Dana White said McGregor-Khabib rematch should happen in 2019 once everything goes smoothly with Nevada State Athletic Commission. Earlier this week Khabib’s head coach Javier Mendez also express interest in the rematch and Mcgregor recently called out Khabib on social media branding him ‘broke b*tch.’ All those points leading toward a rematch but except for ‘Eagle’ who says Irishman doesn’t deserve a followup.

According to Dana White Mcgregor is more than fired up to return to Octagon and as passionate to reclaim the championship as ever. Earlier on Friday when UFC unveils new championship belt for ESPN+ debut, Mcgregor seems to be a fan of new belt took to social media and said ‘i am back.’

Those words were music to ears as white said this latest piece of evidence suggesting that Irishman is ready to fight again.

“It’s one of the main things I love about Conor McGregor: The belt means a lot to him and being a world champion means everything to him,” UFC President Dana White told ESPN (via MMA Junkie). “Conor and I still communicate regularly and he’s very fired up about coming back and becoming a world champion again. He’ll fight anybody. Obviously, he would love the rematch with Khabib, but he’ll fight anybody.”

At the moment, Mcgregor and Khabib awaiting punishment from Commission, a hearing will take place Jan 29th. Nothing will get booked until the duo gets clearance from NSAC.

Do you think Mcgregor vs. Khabib 2 should happen?
