MMA’s parents are fighting again. Quick, someone say something witty to break-up the awkward tension between Dana White and Conor McGregor.
Mystic Mac is having himself a hell of a 24 hours. The cherry on top of McGregor’s crap sundae is Dana White is breaking up with him. Everyone knew this was eventually going to happen.
The UFC does this with all of their stars who push back even a little. Conor McGregor got too famous for the UFC and the UFC will not allow that on their watch. No sir.
The funny thing is, at least publicly, McGregor was always a company guy and played nice with the UFC. Even when he was clearly bigger than the sport, McGregor still paid respects to the promotion that helped him.
Speaking with TMZ, White basically burned every bridge he made to Dublin.
”He wrote ‘I feel like I should own a piece of the company. And I said ‘Conor, you know that’s never going to happen.’ But this was a couple of weeks ago.”
White added
”Listen, if you want to own a piece of the company, you have to put up the money to buy a piece of the company. That’s how it works. These are all parts of negotiations. If you wanted to buy into the UFC right now, the valuation is pretty huge.”
D. White dunking all over Mac and his hopes/dreams. What a time to be alive. Curious to see if McGregor claps back at White and the UFC, or leaves his power moves for the next round of contract negotiations.
If Conor Freaking McGregor is getting humbled by UFC brass than is any fighter ever really safe?
