Dana White Consoles A Heartbroken Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier is one of the most emotional people in MMA. Following his loss to Stipe Miocic, that became even more obvious, especially to Dana White.

Cormier lost via fourth round TKO to Stipe Miocic, at UFC 241. The fight was very competitive until that point, although one could argue that Cormier had won all three rounds. However Stipe would change his gameplan and start attacking Cormier to the body, hurting him. Subsequently, Cormier would be finished by head strikes, after falling to the body shots.

Following this loss, Daniel Cormier was an emotional mess. This was something that UFC President Dana White saw firsthand, as he comforted the Olympian backstage. Video of the interaction has surfaced, captured by UFC crew, and you can see just how devastated he is.

Cormier is talking to White about having been up on the judges’ scorecards. Additionally, he was saying that he felt like an idiot for not being more careful. However White was quick to shoot that feeling down.

Why are you an idiot? Listen man, Stipe came to f–king win. That dude was in great shape, he kept coming forward, you kept coming forward. You don’t see heavyweight fights like that, where two f–king monsters just keep coming forward and f–king blasting each other the way that you were. It was an incredible fight. I know how you are and how competitive you are. You’re the f–king man, dude.”

This is a very kind message from the UFC boss. Moreover, Cormier is clearly one of the most emotionally driven fighters in the world. Unfortunately, that can sometimes be his biggest weakness. You can watch the full video of the exchange below:

Love him or hate him, you can not deny that Daniel Cormier puts his all into fighting.
