UFC Boss Dana White Addressed Justin Bieber Vs Tom Cruise Situation: “If They Want To Fight, We Can Talk”
Singer Justin Bieber recently called out Hollywood star Tom Cruise to meet him in a UFC match, and tagged Dana White in a Twitter post. Conor McGregor almost immediately offered to promote the celebrity fight on his Twitter account, but also challenged Mark Wahlberg to face him on the same card.
Yet, Justin Bieber then rescinded Tom Cruise callout and poured cold water on the match, claiming it was “just a random tweet”. Bieber also stated Tom would “whoop his a**” in the UFC combat.
UFC president Dana White said in a recent interview he didn’t know whether the callout was real or not. But if both celebrities are interested in a fight, Dana is ready to discuss. (h/t MMAMania)
”I didn’t know if it was real or not,” he said when asked about the proposed match-up. “I still don’t know if it’s real. Everybody is talking about it, but Justin hasn’t contacted me.”
”Listen, first of all, maybe Justin Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise for whatever reason. I highly doubt Tom Cruise wants to fight Justin Bieber. I’m 50, I think Tom Cruise is 56. I don’t think anyone who’s 56 is looking to fight anybody. But I’ll tell you this, if Justin Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise, and Tom Cruise wants to fight Justin Bieber, we can talk.”
In the past, Dana White had a negative attitude towards celebrities inside the Octagon. In 2012, Jose Canseco challenged Shaquille O’Neal, and “Shaq” accepted the callout. But Dana didn’t let it happen. But who knows, winds are changing. Today, CM Punk and Greg Hardy are under UFC contract.
At least Dana White addressed wacky Bieber Vs Cruise situation. Did UFC boss take Justin’s random internet trolling too seriously?
