Dana White shared some interesting news on Wednesday.

White went on The Pat McAfee Show to promote the Power Slap event which took place on Wednesday night. Yet, they also got talking about the UFC and the new Conor McGregor documentary on Netflix and whether or not the UFC boss would do one on himself.

Although White won’t be having a documentary on himself, he revealed there will be a documentary coming out on how the UFC is run and the behind-the-scenes of the promotion.

“It’s not easy to just whip out a documentary and do it,” White explained (h/t MMAFighting). “But we’re doing a deal right now with Roku where we’re filming a documentary behind-the-scenes of the UFC, that will come out later this year. [It’s about] the whole business. You guys will see all the behind-the-scenes.”

Along with the documentary, the biggest news Dana White broke is the fact he is working with Adam Sandler to create a UFC comedy show that is about working in the offices of the UFC.

“We’re working on that [documentary], we’re also working on a show right now with Adam Sandler that’s a comedy about working in the offices of the UFC,” White said.

Sandler’s history with UFC

It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Adam Sandler work with the UFC as Happy Madison which is a production company Sandler owns, created Here Comes the Boom in 2012. That movie featured Kevin James as the lead actor who was a high school teacher that became a UFC fighter and the Las Vegas-based promotion even licensed the UFC name to the movie.

Sandler’s involvement in this idea comes as no surprise, given his connection to UFC’s parent company, William Morris Endeavor. If you’re a fan of Sandler, you can currently stream his latest film, Murder Mystery 2, on Netflix.
