Before this win, Hooker suffered a vicious knockout defeat to Edson Barboza last year.

Following a big win, Hooker eyes showdown with big names and want to fight at UFC 243 fight card this October which is likely to take place in Australia. This card headlined by his teammate Israel Adesanya who takes on Robert Wittaker. Hooker wants to fight Al Iaquinta in this card.

I feel like (Al) Iaquinta’s the one that makes sense,” Hooker said. “That name definitely stands out to me. Yeah, Iaquinta, October 5th, meet me in Australia. Get him on a plane!” (h/t MMAJunkie)

That bout will for sure create fireworks if it happens. Iaquinta responds to Hooker’s call out, and it seems he’s down for that.
