Does anyone out there believe if Fedor fought Dan Henderson again, The Last Emperor would be victorious? It’s as if Fedor’s soul was absorbed by Fabricio Werdum, Bigfoot Silva, and Dan Henderson and his legacy is now shared between the three fighters. Even though Fedor is retired, he still lives vicariously through them — although Daniel Cormier absorbed the essence of Fedor when he knocked out Bigfoot Silva in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament Semifinal as well as Alistair Overeem grabbing the unanimous decision over Werdum in Dallas, TX back in 2011.
The only fighter that still retains a piece of Fedor’s original soul is none other than another potential GOAT, Hendo. Shogun Rua had a chance to claim it last year at UFC 139, but he came up just a tad short in undoubtedly the greatest fight of 2011 (and arguably in MMA history). Dan Henderson keeps Fedor’s soul locked in an iron box and stores it in his kitchen cabinet just above where he places his coffee cups. You don’t want to know how I know that — but I just do.
Hendo took the trip to Singapore to hold a few seminars at Evolve MMA and even decided to give his take on Chael Sonnen getting a title shot against Jon Jones. Check it out.
