Dan Hardy isn’t a big fan of Matt Hughes’ morals

For those of you who have never eaten livers, hearts, gizzards, tongue, head cheese, and the remainder organs that western culture considers ‘discards’ in a carnivorous diet; you’re doing it wrong. The rest of the world fights over those parts when actual meat is unavailable. Not only are they delicious, the people who eat them subscribe to a theory that no part of an animal should be wasted. It’s a philosophy that predates Jesus, MMA, and Senator John McCain. Unfortunately, it’s not a ideology that Matt Hughes subscribes to. To him, killing animals is nothing more than a pass-time. After a sweet photo-op for Facebook, discarding most of its carcass is totally alright with him. There are some of you who totally agree with that with that, and there are some of you who really despise it. Dan Hardy falls somewhere between hating it and wanting to do something about it. Here’s what ‘the Outlaw’ had to say about the former UFC welterweight champion in a recent ESPN UK interview:

“I don’t agree with what he does as a person,” Hardy told ESPN. “Brock Lesnar’s the same but he’s less in your face about. It’s the hunting thing, but also you can speak to people who work with Matt Hughes and he doesn’t seem a nice person generally. I don’t like his morals.”

“I’m not pitching a fight… if it’s offered obviously I’ll take it, but I’m not chasing one of the dinosaurs of the sport purely because I don’t like him as a person.”

We have no word on whether or not Dan Hardy has started a petition to ban Matt Hughes from petting zoos throughout the world, but if he did, we’d sign it. The last thing we want is to see Hughes tackled by the department of homeland security for endangering children trying to feed sheep. That would be poetic justice for the sheep though.
