By now you know that Damarques Johnson is our dude. You also know that he rocks one of the Top Ten Fades in MMA and is the baddest dude to wear a MiddleEasy shirt evah. Fighting makes him smile, no really it does. (He’s got signature shirts that say just that.) It makes us smile too, but we aren’t hardcore enough to get into a cage and take some elbows to the dome. Its ok, we have accepted our reality and embrace it. We all have our place in this world.
Now Damarques Johnson is on his way over to Abu Dhabi to fight on the history making UFC 112 card, in a giant tent shaped like a Ferrari in 150 degree sandstorms and he decided to let MiddleEasy make his official fight announcement. That’s rawesome to the power of 12. Damarques is going to face Brad Blackburn in the first ever outdoor desert gladiator style UFC event. Ballerish. Blackburn is coming into this fight off a recent loss to Amir Sadollah at UFC fight night in January. Johnson beat Garcia via an oh so slick triangle at UFC 107 in December.
Unfortunately, Blackburn’s peeps spilled the news already late last night while I was passed out from the 12 Coronas I chugged while playing a Winter Olympics drinking game. Oh well, we still know Damarques picked us to announce his fight and that makes us forget all about not making it on CagePotato’s Top 25 Most Essential MMA Twitter accounts.
