Dakota Ditcheva returned to the PFL cage with a clean sweep, even if the co-main event went the full three rounds instead of turning into the quick finish many expected.
Ditcheva defeated Denise Kielholtz by unanimous decision at PFL New York on July 31 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. All three judges scored it 30-27, giving Ditcheva every round in her first fight in more than a year.
The matchup was booked as the women’s flyweight co-main event. PFL’s card announcement listed Ditcheva as the No. 1 flyweight at 15-0 before the fight and Kielholtz as the No. 6 flyweight at 9-5. At weigh-ins, Ditcheva came in at 125.8 pounds, while Kielholtz weighed 121.8 pounds.

Round-By-Round Details
Round one was Ditcheva’s range round. She switched stances, opened with leg kicks and straight punches, worked front kicks to the body, and landed a right hand as Kielholtz tried to close distance. Kielholtz stayed composed, answered with inside low kicks and a counter left, but Ditcheva finished the round with knees to the body and a stronger late burst.
Round two was the clearest round of the fight. Ditcheva backed Kielholtz up with body kicks, knees from the clinch and jabs. Kielholtz did score a head-and-arm throw, but Ditcheva stood back up, caught a kick for a takedown, tripped Kielholtz down again, landed from top position, then ended the round with more body work and elbows after shedding an armbar attempt.
Round three settled the scorecards. Kielholtz needed a finish, but Ditcheva stayed in control with front kicks to the body, jabs from both stances, low kicks, an inside elbow and another head kick near the bell. The fight did not have an official stoppage because it went the distance; the final result was Dakota Ditcheva by unanimous decision, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27.
Ditcheva Stays Unbeaten
The win moved Ditcheva to 16-0 and kept her unbeaten PFL run intact. Kielholtz fell to 9-6, taking her first PFL loss after entering the night off a February decision win.
Ditcheva’s history made the return matter. She won the 2024 PFL women’s flyweight tournament, then lost time to hand injuries before this New York booking. The Kielholtz fight gave her three full rounds after the layoff and put her back into the flyweight title picture without changing the top-line fact: she has still not lost as a professional.
PFL New York also carried broader lightweight and flyweight stakes, with Usman Nurmagomedov defending his lightweight title against Archie Colgan in the main event and Ditcheva holding the co-main slot during the promotion’s first event after the MVP-PFL merger announcement.
