Cung Le AND Jean-Claude Van Damme in a movie? You’ve got to see this Dragon Eyes trailer…

Hold on, keyboard warriors. Before you slam your sausage-laden fingers on your computer proclaiming this movie sucks, look at the trailer first. It has a formula that can work. You know when you were a kid and your friend would accidentally pummel you in the face, forcing you to cry because you didn’t know what else to do? 90% of the time, those accidents happened because you were reenacting some dumb kick you saw in a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. Combine that with Cung Le, a guy that helped make UFC 139 the greatest MMA show in 2011 and you have a movie that is incapable of sucking. The only thing I know about the plot line is JCVD chipped a stunt man’s tooth on accident with some wild kick he threw during the movie.

That’s good enough for me.

Make my action movies as simple as possible. If you can throw a few vampires in there, then we’re on the same page. If ‘Dragon Eyes’ has a cameo appearance by Spider Man, then it’s pretty much the greatest piece of cinema ever created. Spider Man and vampires — if Hollywood only knew it was this simple.

Dragon Eyes also features Dan Henderson, Trevor Prangley and the greatest lightweight in MMA, Gilbert Melendez. The film comes out April 9th on DVD and Blue Ray — and we were not paid to say any of this. We just really like action movies that have ‘Dragon’ in the title. Props to Yael Grauer for the find, and the weirdos that try to video chat with her on Gmail (you know who you are, creepsters).
