Cris Cyborg Verbally Agreed To Fight Megan Anderson At UFC 221

Cris Cyborg agreed to fight Megan Anderson next month.

UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino successfully defended her very first title defense against former bantamweight champion Holly Holm and crowned a championship at UFC 219 via five-round decision victory on December 30 at Las Vegas. It looks like Cyborg is ready to dive into another fight with Megan Anderson at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia on February 10th.

Current champ Cris Cyborg took to her official Instagram and agreed to a fight with Megan Anderson.

Anderson, the reigning Invicta FC featherweight champion has an 8-2 professional record and currently riding on a four-fight winning streak, with her last loss was against Cindy Dandois back in September of 2015 via submission.

Cyborg and Anderson were originally slated to meet at UFC 214 last July, but Anderson was forced to pull due to personal reasons.

The fight isn’t formally announced by UFC yet as both fighters still need to sign on the dotted line, but it seems like the bout would likely serve as the co-headliner. As UFC 221 event headlines middleweight bout including between champion Robert Whittaker and Luke Rockhold.
