Cris Cyborg Unhappy with UFC For Lowering Her Pay For Holy Holm Fight

The relationship between UFC Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg and UFC has never been great over what weight category she should fight under UFC banner.

UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg defeated Tonya Evinger Via TKO in a third round at UFC 214 on July 29.

UFC is trying to put a contest between former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg. However, Cris Cyborg complained about poor treatments for promotions and said they were paying less money for potential Holly Holm fight then when she fought with Tonya at UFC 214. Last night Cyborg tweeted:

Cyborg earned a disclosed base purse of $200,000 with no win bonus at UFC 214. Well, it seems quite interesting situation as Ronda Rousey is out of a picture, Cris Cyborg vs. Holly Holm fight would be a significantly bigger contest. There bout certainly is strong enough to headline its own pay-per-view. We will see if there is more to this story, as its no secret that UFC and Brazilian strikeforce relationship is pretty strained at times.

Hopefully, things get settle down and we will able to see Bantamweight champion Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg at UFC 219 which is scheduled for December 30th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
