Sometimes, when you are as dominant at fighting as Cris Cyborg, the next step is going into another combat sport.

At Bellator 279, Cyborg defeated Arlene Blencowe again in a five-round slugfest en route to a unanimous decision. Cyborg is now 5-0 in Bellator and has defended her featherweight title four times.

Boxing

While she can continue to beat up anyone Bellator puts in front of her; the Brazilian wants to try her hand at boxing, which has been a dream of hers.

“My next fight, I would like to do a boxing fight. This is one of my dreams, and maybe it’s going to be the next one. I’ve been working on it,” Cyborg told reporters during her post-fight interview.

As for who is next for her, “I don’t know. I don’t know who’s going to be next, who Bellator’s going to put in front of me. I don’t know. People calling me about Cat Zingano, asking about Amanda Nunes, Kayla Harrison, I’d like it to be the big shows for my fans, and [I want to] enjoy every time I step in the octagon.”

When asked if Bellator knows about her plans to box, she said she has been talking with her manager, who has been talking with the promotion.

With Cyborg’s MMA resume, a move to boxing would be fun. The question is, who will she fight?
There are names like Claressa Shields, Katie Taylor, Chantelle Cameron, and Amanda Serrano. All of them are huge fights for Cyborg, something she welcomes.
