Donald Cerrone Previews His Upcoming Bout With Tony Ferguson

This weekend’s UFC 238 card is headlined by two title fights. However, the third fight down is the one attracting the most attention; Donald Cerrone vs Tony Ferguson.

This is the return of Ferguson, who has not competed since November. He has been battling a variety of physical and mental setbacks. He will be taking on ‘Cowboy,’ who has been on an impressive run, since the birth of his son. Cerrone recently bested Al Iaquinta in a five round war, about a month ago.

Leading up to this “people’s main event” Cerrone spoke to MMAJunkie to preview the fight.

“There’s not many guys who just hit the ground, roll, come up, throw an elbow, (and) spin with such conviction. This is going to be one of those fights where you don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know what Tony’s going to do. He’s going to bring it, and we’re going to stand and throw the f–k down. I think for the fans, they know that as well.”

Cerrone went on to discuss how important this bout is for his future, and how he feels he will be victorious.

“This is a No. 1 contender, so this is undoubtedly the way (to the belt). I think I can go in there and finish him. I really do. He’s got a kind of questionable jaw, and he’s just real looney and crazy. If you can beat crazy with crazy, let’s go.”

This bout is the featured bout on this weekend’s UFC 238 card, headlined by Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes. Most fans seem willing to pay $60 just for the fight between Donald Cerrone and Tony Ferguson.
