Cowboy Cerrone Has A Talk With Nate Diaz : ‘I’ll Fight You’ Under One Condition

Cerrone vs Diaz

There was quite the exchange between Cowboy Cerrone and Nate Diaz, a few weeks ago at UFC 235. According to Cerrrone, the interaction took place backstage at the event, where the two came face to face.

Cowboy and Diaz fought back in 2011, with Diaz getting the best of Cerrone. The entire lead up to the fight, Nate continuously talked trash to Cowboy, which led to an out of character performance from Cowboy. He confirmed on several occasions that the younger Diaz brother got into his head prior to the fight.

In this interaction between the two, the subject of a rematch came up. However this time it was under slightly different circumstances, as Brett Okamoto reports. According to a tweet, the brief conversation saw Cerrone asking Nate why he hasn’t fought in a while. “It’s not me. UFC doing it,” Nate replied.

Then Cowboy made his intentions clear by saying “Well just so you know, I’ll fight you.” This sparked a very interesting response from Diaz, who said “S— We’ll do it at 185. I’m done weight cutting.”

The prospect of this rematch is something that excites many fans, as their first fight was very entertaining, and both fighters have grown a lot since their first meeting. However, lately Cowboy has been pushing hard for a fight between he and Conor McGregor, which is another bout that any fight fan would be excited to see.

So whether its the McGregor match-up, or Diaz at 185, it seems that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has a lot of options to choose from in the near future.
