‘Cowboy’ rides again on May 7th.

Rebooked

Donald Cerrone was supposed to fight Joe Lauzon at a UFC Fight Night on April 30th, but not everything goes according to plan. The match-up is being moved to a pay-per-view event at UFC 274.

Unlike their first booking, this fight will now have fans in attendance. As it should for the lightweight legends of the fight game. The rescheduling was first reported by MMA Junkie

Not His First Rodeo

It’s been a long while since we’ve seen ‘Cowboy’ in the win column. His last win came against Al Iaquinta in May 2019. Fast forward three years later and he is 0-5 (1 NC) in his last six bouts. He last fought Alex Morono, where he lost by TKO in May 2021.

He looks to bounce back from the worst skid of his career when he takes on fellow UFC veteran Joe Lauzon.

Lauzon Launches A Return

Lauzon is coming off a pretty long layoff. He has not fought since 2019, last defeating Jonathan Pearce by TKO. He is 2-4 in his last six bouts.

This dance could very well be a last one, for one of these fighters.

Other fights targeted for UFC 274 are Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje and Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka.
