This is the fight that we’ve all been waiting for tonight, the main event of the evening. Former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (19-5-1) and former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington (15-2) will finally face each other in the octagon. This fight was long overdue and a big rivalry is about to be settled.
Round 1
Woodley takes the center of the cage immediately and feints the jab. Woodley pressures Covington to the fence and the fighters exchange leg kicks. Covington changes levels quickly and takes Woodley down. Covington lands a few body blows on the ground. Woodley gets back to his feet and gets out of the clinch. Head kick blocked by Woodley. Covington is the one pressuring now. Woodley lands to the body and Covington retaliates with a body kick. Right hand lands for Covington and gets into a clinch. Elbow lands for Covington. Woodley gets away from the clinch. End of the round.

Round 2
Woodley starts the round with a body kick. Nice right hand lands for Woodley, followed up by a leg kick. Flying knee misses from Covington, he then forces the clinch. Woodley moves along the fence and eats a kick from Covington. Woodley trips Covington and gets a front headlock. Covington works for a takedown. Jab lands for Covington. Big body shot lands for Woodley. Body kick lands for Covington. Nice right hand lands for Woodley. Nice combo lands for Woodley. Knee to the body lands for Covington, he eats a right hand as the round ends.

Round 3
Covington takes the center of the cage and lands a right hand. The action is stopped for an eye poke from Covington. Body kick lands for Covington. Covington tries to get a takedown against the fence but Woodley defends well. Knees to the body land for Woodley. Covington maintains the clinch position. Covington lands an elbow in the clinch as the round ends.

Round 4
Big body kick lands for Woodley. Covington’s takedown attempt gets stuffed and Woodley keeps him in a headlock. Covington gets a takedown. Covington is in Woodley’s guard landing some ground and pound. Woodley seems to be bleeding from a previous elbow. Covington keeps landing some big punches on the ground. Covington lands to the body repeatedly as the round ends.
10-8 Covington
Round 5
Covington keeps pressuring Woodley in this round. Covington gets another takedown but he’s in a guillotine. The fight is stopped after Woodley screams in pain. He is seemingly injured.
