Cory McKenna Rains Down Shots Against The Cage For A TKO Win Over Giulia Chinello!

Cage Warriors 105 took place today (May 31, 2019) in Charter Hall, Colchester, Essex, England. While the competition was headlined by the bout between dynamic striker Tim Barnett and high-level ground fighter Sean Carter, the main card was kicked off by the Strawweight clash between rising 19-year-old prospect Cory McKenna and 26-year-old Italian fighter Giulia Chinello.

Giulia Chinello (3-2 MMA) debuted in Cage Warriors tonight. After two losses at the start of her fighting career, Chinello rebounded back with unanimous decision wins over Roberta Zocco and Nicole Berger, and first-round TKO stoppage against Gloria Peritore.

Cory McKenna (3-1 MMA) fought in front of the home crowd tonight. After TKO win over Maria Vittoria Colonna at Cage Warriors 91, McKenna earned a split decision win over Eva Dourthe and lost the bout to Micol DiSegni on judges’ scorecards. But in her last match, she choked out Fannie Redman on April 27, 2019. It was a quick turnaround for a young gun.

The third man inside the Octagon was Marc Goddard.

After a slow start, Cory McKenna transitioned to the full mount, pressed her opponent against the cage, and started raining heavy punches off the top. Chinello looked helpless, as those brutal strikes off the top were so strong.

Giulia tried to make a sweep but Cory stopped the transition attempt and the punishment continued. After a brutal one-sided blowout, Goddard waved off the contest after 2 minutes and 15 seconds in the first round.

Final Result: Cory McKenna earned a TKO (punches) victory over Giulia Chinello (round 1, 2:15)

Cory McKenna improved her MMA score to 4-1, while Giulia Chinello dropped to 3-3.

Despite McKenna is only 19 years old, she demolishes everybody in her way. What are your thoughts on this fantastic performance ladies and gentlemen? Could Cory become a new UFC star?
