Cormier On ‘Weird’ Jon Jones: It Would Take A Lots Of Drugs To Think Like Him

UFC light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier and former champ Jon ‘Bones’ Jones share arguably the fiercest rivalry in MMA. Their rivalry began in the buildup to their first bout UFC 182, back in January of 2015. On that night, Jones picked up a unanimous decision win.

Jon Jones scores a knockout win over Daniel Cormier for a second time at UFC 214 might have been overturned to a No Contest (NC) as the former light heavyweight champion, tested positive for Turinabol, an anabolic–androgenic steroid, but Cormier still considers it the biggest defeat of his mixed martial arts career. That NC reinstated Cormier as LHW champ.

Cormier expressed his desire to have a trilogy with Jones this past weekend, and it didn’t take long for his bitter rival to reply and said ‘Come get me, baby’

During a recent interview on UFC Unfiltered podcast, Cormier revealed that to understand Jones thought process you need the assistance of a lot of drugs:(Quotes Via MMAMania)

“He’s a weird fucking guy, he’s a weird cat, man. Let me tell you something, to try and delve into the mind of Jon Jones, you can’t do it without some help,”

“It takes a lot of drugs to think like him, unless you get on a crazy high, then you will think like him. You can’t think like him just normally,”

DC concluded as Jones has a past failed drug test history.

Jones, is currently awaiting punishment from USADA for his failed drug test, which could very well bring about the end of his mixed martial arts career.

Cormier who is currently prepping for a super fight with heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 pay-per-view (PPV) event on July 7, 2018.
