Conor Mcgregor To Khabib: A Defeat Doesn’t Define The War Is Over

Conor Mcgregor Says He Lost The Match But Won The Battle And War Isn’t Over Yet

Power punching striker Conor Mcgregor struggled with Khabib’s takedown ability in the starting rounds but was dropped down to canvas by brutal right hand in the second frame and then eventually submitted when ‘Eagle’ locked a fight-ending tight neck crank in the fourth round. Instead of celebrating his impressive career win, Khabib climbed the cage and attacked Irishman’s teammate and Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis outside sparking a riot in the arena.

UFC head honcho Dana White said the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is withholding Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fight purse due to his post-fight brawl antics investigation is still pending while McGregor’s fight purse was released after Commision view the video.

White also said Commission could suspend ‘Eagle’ the worst case they could strip him of his belt.

Conor Mcgregor who already called for a rematch yesterday, posted a cryptic message on his Instagram on Monday, in which he says we lost the match but won the battle, it may be a hint at Khabib’s post-fight brawl antics, which could cost him a title.

“We lost the match but won the battle. The war goes on,” he tweeted alongside a picture of him sporting black eye.

Before Nurmagomedov goes on the war against Mcgregor, he has to go through the offices of the (NSAC) Nevada State Athletic Commission to answer post-fight melee that caused riots. He could face severe repercussion from getting the suspension to hefty fines to a stripping of a title.

On Monday, Khabib hit out at Conor McGregor and mocked the Irishman for his brutal defeat.

“Friend, even now you are slowing down, otherwise I’m uncomfortable for you myself,” he said.

“I told you, on October 6, I’ll tell you everything, or did you really want to beat me there?

“I apologise to everyone whom I have offended in our common victory. And my sincere Fans – you are just a space. Thank you for your incredible support, I love you, yours truly – Khabib Nurmagomedov.”

Dagestani native posted another message shortly afterward.

“I think I need new haters, otherwise I will start to like the old ones,” he joked.

We have to wait and see what’s next for both UFC stars.
