  • Conor McGregor lashed out at Donald Trump for picking Khabib Nurmagomedov as his favorite fighter
  • “Notorious” wound up responding to fans and exchanging words with Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor found himself in a war of words with Michael Chandler following his tirade against Donald Trump and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Conor knows no holds barred when it comes to Khabib

McGregor put an end to his support for Trump’s presidential candidacy after the former POTUS declared Nurmagomedov as his all-time favorite fighter.

Knowing “Notorious,” he voiced his disappointment over Trump’s revelation in a now-deleted political rant and posts on X.

“Campaign ending decision,” McGregor tweeted. “A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal.

“I was actually wrong,” he added. “Couple hundred million he is worth. Not multi B. I would have thought USA ONLY would be the mentality here and what I would want to see out of my president, personally. To pick a retired inbred fighter from Dagestan Russia who has 3 main events only to his name is astounding. Over all the American fighters that have backed him. It’s a shocking decision. He was caught on the spot. That won’t go unnoticed on the roster. This presidential race is very tight right now. More so now.”

The former UFC two-division champ even went as far as mentioning Khabib’s deceased father Abdulmanap in the discussion.

“Hey guys why couldn’t khabibs dad gain entry to America ever?” McGregor continued. “What was the issue there? He was never allowed access and now you hear all what is taking place currently, the terrorists from their gym gunned down while in the middle of inflicting a terror attack in their own country with khabib then subsequently fleeing the country after their gym and homes were raided and reposed, leaving behind his wife, kids, family, mother in the process, the whole lot. It makes you wonder. Before the death of khabibs father via Covid-19, why was he always refused entry into the US?”

McGregor then decided to reply to a netizen who tried to educate him about Nurmagomedov and Trump’s plan to work together for world peace.

“Lol! He fled his country after terrorists from his gym committed an act of terror in their city. He was banned from leaving and he fled. If he goes back to Russia he is locked up instantly. I am currently in an auction to buy the house that was repossessed from him. It’s going well,” McGregor wrote.

In his response to a netizen who noted that Khabib’s dad tried to help his country stop terrorism, McGregor said Abdulmanap may have attempted but ultimately failed.

“I guess he didn’t do a good job so. Hence terrorists breeding from the gym itself and it being raided and closed down. As well as his refusal of entry into the USA over the years on top of this. I just wonder why that was? Look, he is brown bread now so it doesn’t matter, rip, but it’s interesting all the same. Have a great day Sir!,” he wrote in his response.

Chandler stepped in

Seemingly growing tired of seeing McGregor’s tweets, Chandler opted to barge in and asked “Notorious” to stop.

“Stop it…. @TheNotoriousMMA,” Chandler replied. “If you had half the balls that DT had you would have shown up June 29th. Instead you’re normal walking, beer chuggin’ Austin 3:16 style at a local fight show/motorcycle rally in South Dakota, a RED, 100% #maga state by the way. [U.S. flag emoji]”

As expected, McGregor clapped back at “Iron” and the pair went on with their back-and-forth.

“Bro he doesn’t even know who the f*ck you are lol,” McGregor replied. “He probably thinks you are a little broke begging arsewipe”

“He does @TheNotoriousMMA,” Chandler said. “But that is neither here nor there. Here’s the deal – I beat your ass in December…I bet my entire career on it. End the year back flipping over your lifeless body on the canvas.”

“My man, it was an abysmal choice for fighter,” McGregor responded. “Be real with yourself, please. Horrific! And yes I look forward to December! It was going to be big bear originally for my camp but now it will be Colorado Springs instead! Better facilities. Where the US Olympic athletes train! I arrive summer end. I will be ready for what you bring and yes you will be doing your backflip alright but it will from of the speed and accuracy of my back hand that will be making you flip. I’m going to flip you like a pancake.”

After having enough of McGregor, Chandler concluded the verbal exchange by accusing “Notorious” of ducking him again.

“Nevermind guys…I think it’s time I finally admit the fight is off,” Chandler tweeted. “He’s still in stage 2 of the 7 of grief pertaining to his career being over. Figured he’d be closer to 5 by now. Godspeed. @TheNotoriousMMA”

The Irish MMA superstar wasn’t done yet. However, McGregor appears to have acknowledged that his potential fight with Chandler in December could be in limbo and hinted at an interest to fight Max Holloway instead.

”? lol ok lil bro. Swapped out handy. @BlessedMMA what you at December? The real bmf, you know.”

Unsurprisingly, “Iron” hit back once again and told McGregor that “Blessed” will not be hyped to face him.

“Max wouldn’t even fight me, let alone you…he wants the title. Don’t act like you hold the cards….swan song incoming.”

McGregor and Chandler were supposed to take on each other at UFC 303 but “Notorious” was forced to pull out due to a broken toe. As for Nurmagomedov, it’s safe to say McGregor’s hatred for “The Eagle” has not subside one bit over the years.
