- Conor McGregor picked Charles Oliveira to beat Islam Makhachev at UFC 280
- The Irish MMA superstar revealed who’s the toughest fighter he has ever fought
Conor McGregor has been busy filming his big-screen movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, “Road House.” However, “The Notorious” still found time to pause a bit and take his pick between UFC 280 headliners Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.
Mystic Mac says it’s Charles
Replying to a fan in a recent Twitter Q&A, McGregor simply wrote, “Olly and easily.”
Evidently, “Olly” refers to Oliveira, and “easily” implies that the former UFC two-division champ sees the Brazilian making quick work of Makhachev.
McGregor’s “Mystic Mac” days seem to be over but let’s see if his UFC 280 prediction will turn out to be right.
Meanwhile, Oliveira isn’t relying on any predictions and analysis ahead of UFC 280. Instead, “do Bronx” chose to work on his game, especially his grappling as he knows he’s facing an incredible grappler in Islam. In his recent training video, Oliveira was spotted mastering some takedown defense.
Oliveira vs. Makhachev is a very important match in the lightweight division as it will determine who truly is the rightful king of the 155-pound division.
