Conor McGregor is thinking about leaving Ireland because of the issues with the Nikita Hand case. Friends and people who help him say he’s considering moving back to America with his family for good. Conor, his partner Dee Devlin, and their kids have been living in a big house at The K Club, but now they’re thinking about starting over somewhere else.
Conor McGregor has to pay Nikita Hand around $260,000 for damages, plus an extra $1.6 million for legal fees. He could face another fine for calling the court a “kangaroo court.”
Conor McGregor already owns an apartment in Las Vegas, but it seems like he and his family would prefer to move to Florida. One person close to them said:
“Conor has been completely rattled by the devastating fallout as a result of losing the civil case. He is going to appeal the verdict to clear his name. He is genuinely very upset by it all and the manner in which he feels he has been betrayed.
“But the commercial damage in Britain and Ireland has been massive with retailers refusing to sell his stout and Proper No 12 whiskey.
“However the court case has not been as damaging commercially in the United States where most of his fans are standing by him.
“He wants out of Ireland for the moment and to move back to the States.” h/t the Irish Mirror
Conor McGregor is set to return to court next May for a two-week commercial trial, where he will be facing his former friend, Artem Lobov.
Artem Lobov, who used to train and work with Conor McGregor, says he was the one who came up with the idea for Proper No 12 whiskey. Artem, who always had an interest in whiskey, helped with the project while traveling the world with Conor.
He claims Conor promised him a five percent share in the whiskey business for his contributions. Conor reportedly offered Artem $1 million to settle the issue, but Artem turned it down.
That five percent share is now worth $6 million, after Conor sold his portion of the whiskey company for $135 million a few years ago.
The lawyers say the case with Artem Lobov will happen for sure unless Conor McGregor’s team decides to settle it before then.
Conor McGregor is also thought to have a house in Marbella, and he likes to spend his summers there.
