Conor McGregor posted a short Instagram video after his UFC 329 injury loss to Max Holloway, and his message was direct. He still plans to return.
Holloway stopped McGregor by TKO at 3:54 of Round 1 in Las Vegas. The bout was McGregor’s first UFC appearance since 2021, and it ended when the former two-division champion suffered another leg injury before the opening round could finish.
“We’ll be back! In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let’s go.” McGregor said in the video.
UFC on Paramount+ shared the Instagram clip and credited McGregor’s account.
McGregor Gives No Timeline
The clip did not include a medical update, a surgery timeline, or a named opponent. It only gave McGregor’s first direct camera message after Holloway’s first-round stoppage.
The reactions around McGregor have already split in different directions. Daniel Cormier questioned what the injury loss means for McGregor’s comeback, while Sean O’Malley called the UFC 329 ending one of the most disappointing moments in combat sports. Israel Adesanya later argued that Michael Chandler still makes the most sense if McGregor gets another UFC booking.
McGregor did not address Chandler, Holloway, surgery, or a return date. His public message was only that he does not view the UFC 329 loss as the end.
