Conor Mcgregor Says ‘Good Luck’ To Kron Gracie Ahead Of His UFC Debut

Conor Mcgregor Is ‘Very Excited’ To See What Kron Gracie Can Do To The Legacy Of Gracie Family

UFC on ESPN 1 ‘Ngannou vs. Velasquez’ MMA event is set to take place tonight (Sun., Feb. 17, 2019) from Phoenix, Arizona. The main header features a heavyweight clash between former UFC champion Cain Velasquez and knockout artist Francis Ngannou, but it will also mark the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu royalty Kron Gracie’s Octagon debut.

Gracie, a son of the great Rickson Gracie and grandson of the legendary Helio Gracie, will meet featherweight prospect Alex Caceres on the UFC Phoenix main card. Brazilian phenom only fought four times as a professional (4-0), with his last fight took place under the RIZIN banner in 2016 where he submitted veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri.

Many are excited for Gracie’s UFC debut, whose bread-and-butter is the ground game so it’d be interesting to see how he plays out his match against Caceres.

Now UFC cash cow Conor Mcgregor took time to express enthusiasm for Kron Gracie’s Octagon debut but also showed respect to Gracie family and their role in MMA.

“Very excited to see Kron Gracie compete tomorrow in the UFC,” wrote McGregor via Twitter. “Son of Rickson, partner of Diaz. So much lineage. Very proud and exciting moment here for the prestigious Gracie family. Remember that without this family, none of us would have a job we loved.

“Good luck and Respect.”

McGregor fought Gracie’s training partner Diaz twice at UFC 196 and UFC 202 with each fighter winning one contest. Currently, Irishman has been linked to fighting Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.

If Gracie manages to outclass Caceres violently, it’s apparent that UFC will promote the hell out of him for his upcoming fights. No doubt his name carries weight and considering his close relationship with UFC stars Nick and Nate Diaz. Moreover, he’s already famous among hardcore fight fan.
