Shaping Up

Eight months after his gruesome foot injury at UFC 264, Conor McGregor vows to make a strong octagon return. Based on his recent social media posts, “The Notorious” seems to be showing off how comfortable he is in his jacked physique.

Back To Boxing

Atop that, the former two-division UFC champ appears to be constantly working on his boxing as well. It might have been a long road to recovery, but he is back in the training room working on his craft.

On Instagram, McGregor posted a video and some photos of his intense boxing training at Crumlin Boxing Club. As expected, the UFC superstar left fans even more excited in his return.

McGregor feels “strong” at 170 pounds

It is yet to be determine what exact weight McGregor is at this point.

However, he previously said he was walking at about 190 pounds of mostly muscle. Now that he is nearing his UFC return, “Mystic Mac” wants to fight at welterweight and confessed that he has no plans of cutting any more weight.

“Why cut the weight? I’ve already won the 155-pound title. I got myself to a lightweight frame, but you know, I’m big now. I feel big. I feel strong. I feel healthy. I’ve got good energy,” McGregor said in a recent interview uploaded on his YouTube channel, The Mac Life.

“I’m coming back from a gruesome injury,” he continued. “I don’t want to be depleting myself. There should be no need to deplete myself.”

As it stands, McGregor has not tasted a win since January 2020 when he TKO’d Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246. Nothing is concrete yet at the moment but the Irish MMA superstar is hoping to jump straight into title contention in his return.
