Conor McGregor Got His Own “Venom” Movie Character!

It Looks Like Conor McGregor Has Built His Popularity In The Movie Industry Too!

Conor McGregor is probably the most popular UFC fighter of all time. Many fighters are trying to be his copycats, especially Colby Covington. But now, Conor McGregor has gone one step further. A movie character is based on him! Is there a better way to get public respect?

British actor Tom Hardy is known for his roles of Max in Mad Max: Fury Road, and Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. This time, he returns to the big screen with the role of Eddie Brock in superhero movie named Venom. This is a character which is based on Marvel’s Spiderman comics. Venom has some outstanding special abilities.

Also, Tom Hardy says Conor McGregor was a keynote for his “Venom” character! According to Hardy, Conor McGregor is a great choice since he always wants “a scrap” with everybody. (via MMAMania.com)

“He was definitely a keynote but I don’t know if you’d recognize him in the portrayal, it was more of an interior choice if that makes sense,” Hardy told RTE. “There was an aspect the studio wanted somebody who could fight, which they always do in these sort of hero movies. They want somebody who can have a scrap. Conor obviously wants to have a scrap with everybody, so that’s useful.”

The movie Venom will be opened on October 5th, one day before UFC 229. Venom’s main rival will be romantic drama A Star Is Born. It is actually a remake of Barbara Streisand movie from 1976.

Conor McGregor is slated for a showdown versus Khabib Nurmagomedov on October 6th inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 229 main event has already broken the record for the highest number of PPV (pay-per-view) buys. Conor will definitively go for all or nothing in this match. After all, he hadn’t fought for two years. He will surely look for the way to finish the fight with a quick KO. Remember UFC 194 and his fight versus Jose Aldo!

What are your thoughts on Conor’s success? Getting a movie character is a huge sign of respect! But this is Conor McGregor! Who knows, he might become the president of Ireland when he ends his UFC career!
