- Conor McGregor randomly retired from MMA
- “Notorious” has been generating buzz in the sport through social media
Conor McGregor may have just announced his retirement on social media.
Conor says bye
While his long-awaited UFC return is still up in the air, “Notorious” unsurprisingly keeps making headlines because of his social media posts. In a recent reply to a fan suggesting he could opt to retire and forget about the UFC if he wants to, McGregor agreed and unofficially retired on the spot.
“Ya know what, you’re right. Good bye,” the former UFC two-division champion wrote on X.

Conor has been active on social media
McGregor has been evidently active on social media and up-to-date on the UFC events. As expected, the Irish MMA superstar is not shying away from letting everybody know about his thoughts on certain fighters matters in the UFC.
Shortly after UFC 308, McGregor dropped a series of posts on X aimed at reigning UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. It didn’t take long for “El Matador” to fire back.
Knowing McGregor, his hint at retirement might not be 100 percent real. In fact, he even previously declared a February comeback for a showdown with Dan Hooker in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that, “Notorious” also teased a bare-knuckle boxing debut at BKFC.
However, none of the above mentioned has been confirmed yet to this moment.
