Conor McGregor has spoken out after a court ordered him to pay over $258,000 in damages in a case dating back to 2018.
Nikita Hand accused McGregor of assaulting her at a Dublin hotel, claiming the encounter was violent and against her will. McGregor denied the allegations, insisting the interaction was consensual.
The jury sided with Hand, and McGregor has since released a statement, calling this his final comment on the matter.
On Monday, Conor McGregor promised to challenge the court’s decision, but he also admitted to being unfaithful to his fiancée, Dee Devlin. They’ve been together for over 10 years, and they have four kids.
Conor McGregor Responds to Civil Trial Loss: ‘I Should Have Shut the Party Down’
“People want to hear from me, I needed time,” McGregor wrote. “I know I made mistakes. Six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me.
“As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision.”
While the court case is going on, McGregor says he’s focusing on what’s next for him. He’s planning to come back and fight again.
“I can’t go back and I will move forward,” McGregor wrote. “I am beyond grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side. That’s it. No more. Getting back to the gym- the fight game awaits!”

So far, neither Dana White nor the UFC have commented on the jury’s decision. Other brands that have worked with McGregor, apart from IO Interactive, have not cut ties with him.
McGregor, 36, has not fought in the UFC since breaking his leg in a July 2021 bout against Dustin Poirier. He was supposed to return against Michael Chandler in June, but had to cancel after breaking his toe during training.
