Colby Covington never misses a chance to stir the pot, and his latest target is none other than Jon Jones. During a recent Twitch stream, Covington decided to poke fun at Jones by bringing up one of the most talked-about stories in MMA: the infamous rumor that Jones once hid under a ring to avoid a USADA drug test.

Covington Brings Up the Old Story

In his usual controversial fashion, Covington didn’t just mention the story—he recreated it. While hanging out in the UFC Performance Institute, Covington quipped, “You know what this boxing ring just reminded me of, guys? We should probably look under it to see if Jon Jones is there. Just like when he hid there from USADA.”

To drive the point home, Covington even crouched down and looked under the ring, asking, “Johnny boy! Johnny, are you here? Are you hiding from USADA? Jon, are you under there? I know you like to hide under rings away from the d–g lords. Are you still faring your steroid test? Well, sorry, guys. I thought Jon Jones would be there. He loves to hide under rings so much. Guy’s a s—–g.”

Why Is Covington Still Bringing Up Jones?

This latest jab is just another chapter in the ongoing rivalry between the two fighters. Covington and Jones have a long history, dating back to their time as wrestling teammates at Iowa Central Community College. Despite their beef, a fight between the two seems unlikely, as they’re in different weight divisions. While Jones is focused on defending his UFC heavyweight title, Covington is working on his comeback in the welterweight division.

So why is Covington even bringing up Jones now? Well, when it comes to ‘Chaos,’ logic isn’t always a top priority. The two have exchanged barbs over the years, and Covington clearly enjoys reminding everyone of Jones’ past controversies.

As for the truth behind the “hiding under the ring” story, it remains part of MMA’s colorful history of rumors and urban legends. Whether or not Jones ever actually did that is still up for debate, but with Covington’s constant trolling, the story isn’t going away anytime soon.
