Colby Covington has fought some big names in the UFC, like Leon Edwards, Jorge Masvidal, Tyron Woodley, and Kamaru Usman. He’s been known for his intense rivalries and heated battles inside the octagon.
Now, Covington is back for another fight this weekend in the UFC Tampa main event, where he will face Joaquin Buckley. Unlike his past rivals, Covington doesn’t seem to have a lot of bad blood with Buckley, and he might be missing some of the fiery energy he’s had in previous fights.
Colby Covington has said a lot of mean things before big fights. Back in 2017, he called Brazil a “dump,” and last year, he even said something really hurtful about Leon Edwards’ dad. Covington doesn’t hold back when he talks about his opponents, and he’s made his fights very personal, saying things that upset people to get attention before stepping into the ring.

Colby Covington Calls Out Kamaru Usman Over Alleged Cheating
Colby Covington is almost ready to fight again after taking a long break from the Octagon. While talking on Twitch, someone asked him which fighter he dislikes the most. Covington didn’t take long to pick his answer.
“Definitely Marty Juiceman,” Covington said of ex-champ Kamaru Usman, who defeated him at UFC 245 and UFC 268. “Just cause he’s a cheater and he’s a coward. He definitely cheated multiple times in our fights. Can’t respect someone who cheats in a fight.”
“I’ve never cheated. I’ve done everything the right way. I didn’t cut corners, didn’t ask for shortcuts. Had to go the long way.”

Colby Covington has been vocal about his dislike for Kamaru Usman, accusing him of cheating in their past encounters. He’s claimed that Usman used performance-enhancing drugs and even grabbed his gloves and hit him in the back of the head during their second fight at UFC 268. Despite losing to Usman in both their bouts, Covington continues to push his claims, and both fighters are now aiming for another shot at the title following their past defeats.
