Justin Gaethje said Colby Covington would probably beat him in a fight. Even so, Covington wouldn’t hold back in his response.

‘The Highlight’ made some headlines ahead of his second title shot at UFC 274. While Gaethje hates Covington, he’d admit that he would probably best him inside the Octagon— but not in a street fight.

“I think he’s a great fighter, but he sucks to watch,” Gaethje said on the Full Send Podcast. “But yeah, if I fought him in the cage he’d probably beat me, because of his size and his ability to move forward and to grapple.

“But in a street fight, there’s no f*cking chance. Because in a street fight I’d grab a brick and hit him in the f*cking head. Yeah, can’t do that in this sport. There’s rules here.”

‘Chaos’ Responds

It wouldn’t take long for Covington to catch wind of Gaethje’s comments.

“We all know what you said to the Nelk Boys, Gaethje,” Covington said in a video. “Even though you’re dumber than a bag of rocks, at least you’re smart enough to know if we ever get locked in the cage, I’d beat the ever living shit out of you, junior.”

“If you look in the mirror, I guess two mirrors in your case, one right in front of you and another one here somewhere with that lazy eye— you look in those mirrors and get honest again.”

Covington Predicts Oliveira To Beat Gaethje

Obviously, Covington isn’t rooting for his rival at UFC 274. He’s hitting that Charles Oliveira money line.

“You know you don’t stand a chance tonight either. That’s why the people are gonna steam that Oliveira money line and make their bank accounts great again.”
